Lorna - if you are calling at Warrington and have time to spare, I would love to meet up for a coffee.

I'd love to come to the get-together too but will be away the following weekend (exam marker training; nothing nice!) so with things as they are with family, I won't manage it. Hope you all have a wonderful time and I shall thooughly enjoy working out what really DID and DID NOT take place from the "crazy" posts afterwards!! xx Ailsa

I've managed to book a three course buffet lunch for us all at The Hilton on Saturday, 7th May at 12.30pm. for £17.50 a head including coffee. There will be various options for each course. We have exclusive use of the restaurant. So far there are 25 of us for lunch, but I am expecting another 12 or so to confirm shortly. There are several more who are very hopefully coming along. We decided to ask The Hilton, as those who are travelling long distances may not feel up to charging off somewhere else for lunch shortly after arriving. Really looking forward to it!

HI Ailsa,

Yes I would love to meet up for a coffee, you could have travelled with us if you wanted, think we plan to stay at least 2 days.

Jean I will look at booking tomorrow.

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone too.

Sorry can't make this get together, as we are going on holiday the week after and it will be too much, time, energy and money wise.

WARWICK / STRATFORD UPON AVON GET TOGETHER

Bumping this up for newcomers! There are quite a lot of new members to the Forum recently and perhaps some of you may like to come along to our get together.

It's to be held at the Hilton Hotel Warwick on Saturday 7th May at 12.30pm. The Hilton are providing a three course buffet lunch for £17.50 a head which will include various options for each course and coffee. We will have exclusive use of the restaurant.

Some of us are arriving on the Friday and staying for two nights. We all have a lot of catching up to do!

If you are interested in coming along just post on this thread and Jean will add you to the list. Any questions just ask ... there's nearly always someone about to answer!

Do please try to come along; it would be great to meet you all BigGrin

It sounds as though you are going to have lots of fun on the 7th and lots of time to catch up with each other. What a great deal you have been given by the Hilton.

Don't forget to put the 30th June in your diaries for our 10 year celebration lunch at the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club as we do hope some of you will come along and meet Ailsa and the staff and help us to celebrate this milestone. Please call me on 01628 501547 or email fundraising@nras.org.uk to get your tickets.

This will be my first time. I'm really nervous as I might not recognise anyone! Was going to wear my green flimsy dress so you would all know me but unfortunately it's disintigrated!

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting to know all the people I haven't met before! Let us know what time you're arriving Julie and we'll keep checking the door! :)

All very exciting ThumpUp

Is there a date when final numbers need to be known?

Still waiting for my husband to make his mind up, he never likes to 'plan' anything.

I've found a little caravan site, according to AA route planner it is just under 4 miles away from the Hilton and it's got a fishing lake on site so he can fish away all day while I join you all. Planning a long weekend there.
